Marcus Duke kickin' it in Grazalema

Events

I keep busy. Why not? Some day I'll have eternal rest.
Meanwhile, there's music to play!

Currently, I'm in four bands.

Somewhere in Between

This is “my” band, so to speak. We will start booking shows in support of my new CD starting in spring 2013. Stay tuned for info on our CD release party! You can hear selections from our repertoire at the Petrichor Dreams and past projects webpages.

Guillaume Mpacko

In 2012 I joined up with Cameroonian guitarist/singer/songwriter, Guillaume Mpacko. Guillaume performs mostly original African and latin compositions and most recently performed at the most-excellent Royal Room in Seattle's Columbia City district. I am delighted to finally have found a musician who has mastered the mskanda finger-style of of guitar playing, a long favorite genre of mine. We are in between gigs at the moment. I will post them here as they are booked.

At Five

At Five is an 8-piece cover band, with two lead vocalists and two horns, that performs diverse genres from classic blues/jazz to Motown/60‘s R&B to rock 'n roll to funk & soul. Check out the At Five website for samples, repertoire, the latest performance schedule, and to book the band.

On Route

On Route is an offshoot of At Five that started with vocalist/band leader Tom Patton, bassist Steve O'Farrell and I doing post-At Five reductionist versions of the big band's repertoire plus some different tunes ranging from the 60s to present. We specialize in performing for small venues, and have been a regular at the Zerba's wine-tasting outlet in Woodinville. A website for this group is under development. Meanwhile, for more information on this group, including bookings, please contact Tom Patton.
